Through the year
A resort with two faces: green and white
The resort runs some activities only in summer and others only in winter. This page sorts the published programme by season.
On the northern plains the year has hard edges. Summer is bright and long, and the resort points out that Saskatoon is one of the sunnier places in Canada in that season. Winter is long too, with snow on the dunes and the river under ice, and the resort describes it as a time to bundle up and head into a snowy landscape with the right gear and guide. Between them, spring and autumn are short changes of light: the resort writes about golden prairie landscapes and crisp air in its autumn articles.
Summer
- Guided canoe trips on the South Saskatchewan River, with a picnic lunch and transport (summer only).
- eBike rentals from sunrise to sunset (summer only).
- Indigenous games and the mini tipi set-up (summer only).
- Golf on the links, and food on the patio of the Taté Taŋka Resto-Lounge (seasonal).
- The Kichiota Indigenous Corridor Experience from 1 June to 6 September 2027.
- The terrace at Moose Woods and the rooftop outdoor lounge by the pool.

Winter
- Kicksled sessions of two hours (winter only).
- Snowshoeing sessions of two hours (winter only).
- A free 2.5 km cross-country ski loop starting at the tenth hole (winter only).
- The fireplaces in the lobby and the double-sided fireplaces at Moose Woods.
- Holiday concerts at the casino in December and a New Year's Eve package; see shows.
- The rooftop pool, indoors and glazed, open from 7:00 to 23:00.

All year
Several things do not depend on the weather. The Cosmic Dome's star presentations run inside the dome; the Dakota Fireside evenings are listed without a season; the session with a Whitecap Elder, the Pow Wow presentation and the online reconciliation workshop are year-round offers. The restaurant, pool, fitness centre and exhibit corridor are open through the year, and the resort describes itself as a year-round wedding destination.
For a sample of how two days fit together in each season, see forty-eight hours, and for a longer piece on the cold months, the journal's winter on the dunes.
