A plan for two days

Forty-eight hours on the edge of the plains

A two-day outline using only the hours the resort publishes. Activities marked summer or winter run only in that season.

Two nights is the length of stay the resort's offers seem written for, and it is enough to see the place properly without running out of things to do. The outline below is a template, not a schedule: it uses the published opening hours of the restaurant, the pool and the Adventure Desk, and leaves the rest to the weather.

Day one

  1. 15:00
Arrive and settleRooms are guaranteed from 3:00 pm. With works on the front parking lot announced in October 2026, follow the signs to the front lobby.

The morning after

  1. 08:00
Slow breakfastCheck-out is at 11:00, and guests keep access to the site for the rest of the day.
  2. 11:00
Leave the room, stay on the landTake a last walk on the dunes or a last swim, and drive back to Saskatoon in the afternoon.

In summer, add the river

The guided canoe trip lasts about three hours, needs at least four people and 48 hours' notice. Book it before arrival and fit it into the morning of day two in place of golf.

Two nights fit the resort's Dine and Stay or Stargaze packages well; see the packages page. A request through this guide's form can name the plan in the notes so the desk asks the right questions.

Room request · Dakota Dunes Resort

Ask the desk to find a room at Dakota Dunes

The form goes to the room desk of this guide, not to the resort. The desk checks the dates against the hotel's reservations team or a booking partner and answers by email with what is available and what it costs. No card details are asked for here, and sending the form books nothing.

Thank you, the request has arrived. The desk will compare the dates with the hotel's availability and write back by email. Nothing has been booked or charged.
