Accessibility

Two different questions: whether this website is easy to use, and whether the resort is. This page answers the first and is honest about the second.

This website

The site is built as plain HTML pages that work without scripts. Headings follow a single order on every page, with one main heading. A skip link at the top jumps past the menu to the text. Every image has a text alternative, and every illustration is captioned as one. Form fields have visible labels, dates are entered as text in the YYYY-MM-DD format rather than through a date picker, and messages after sending the form are announced to screen readers. The menu opens with a button that reports its state and closes with the Escape key. Text and controls are designed for readable contrast, and the layout adapts to small screens without sideways scrolling.

Two parts depend on third parties. The Google Map on the home page loads only when a button is pressed; on the getting-here page a map is embedded below the first screen. Both come from Google, and their accessibility is Google's. The same address and route links are provided as text next to each map.

The resort

This guide cannot certify the resort's accessibility and does not try to. The resort lists a Barrier-Free Two Queen Room of 523 square feet with a spacious layout designed for easy movement, but its pages do not detail bathroom fittings, door widths or other features. Guests who depend on particular features should confirm them with the resort directly, on 1-833-987-1888, before booking. A request sent through this guide can describe those needs in the notes, and the desk will pass the questions on.

Room request · Dakota Dunes Resort

Ask the desk to find a room at Dakota Dunes

The form goes to the room desk of this guide, not to the resort. The desk checks the dates against the hotel's reservations team or a booking partner and answers by email with what is available and what it costs. No card details are asked for here, and sending the form books nothing.

Thank you, the request has arrived. The desk will compare the dates with the hotel's availability and write back by email. Nothing has been booked or charged.
