Down Highway 219 to the dunes

The resort gives the drive from Saskatoon as about twenty minutes and from the airport as about thirty. A car is the practical way to arrive.

Dakota Dunes Resort stands on Dakota Dunes Way, a short road off Highway 219, south of Saskatoon on Whitecap Dakota Nation land. Highway 219 begins inside the city as Lorne Avenue and runs south through Whitecap Dakota Nation land toward Lake Diefenbaker; Wikipedia records that a section of it was given the name Chief Whitecap Trail in 2009. Past the edge of the city the road crosses open country; the resort's directions end on Dakota Dunes Way, with the hotel on the left side of that road.

Without a car

The resort's pages do not list an airport shuttle or a hotel shuttle from the city. Dakota Dunes Casino, which shares the site, runs a daily round-trip shuttle departing from Prairieland Park in Saskatoon, but its page states that luggage, bags and golf clubs are not permitted on it; it suits a day visit to the casino by an adult, not an arrival for a hotel stay. A guest without a car will need a taxi or another private ride from the airport or the city, and should check the fare and availability for the return trip before relying on it late in the evening.

Arriving in late 2026

The resort posted on 13 October 2026 that the parking lot in front of the hotel entrance is under construction. Check-in through the front lobby remains available, and the resort asks arriving guests to follow the signs. The casino has separately warned that its renovation affects some entrances and parking availability. Expect a short detour on arrival; the arrival page has the details.

Travelling by RV

There is no campground at the resort. The casino's page describes ten RV stalls with 20, 30 and 50 amp service, first come first served, registered at the casino's guest services desk for up to 15 days, with a rule that everyone in the vehicle must be 19 or over; open fires and tents are not allowed. The casino names Blackstrap Provincial Park and Pike Lake as nearby parks with more services.

Room request · Dakota Dunes Resort

Ask the desk to find a room at Dakota Dunes

The form goes to the room desk of this guide, not to the resort. The desk checks the dates against the hotel's reservations team or a booking partner and answers by email with what is available and what it costs. No card details are asked for here, and sending the form books nothing.

Thank you, the request has arrived. The desk will compare the dates with the hotel's availability and write back by email. Nothing has been booked or charged.
