The One King Bed room is the hotel's everyday room, and it is described simply: a comfortable king bed, a well-lit working area, in-room coffee, a 55-inch television and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a high-power hair dryer and premium bath products. At 334 square feet it is a generous standard room by city-hotel measures, and the floor-to-ceiling window gives it more apparent space than the number suggests.

The resort does not sell this type by view. Its general description of the rooms says each one faces the landscape, the golf links or the river valley basin, which means that the outlook from a standard king depends on where it sits in the building. Guests who care about facing the links can book the Golf View type instead; guests who care about a particular outlook in a standard room can only ask, and a request through this guide's desk will pass that wish on rather than promise it.

Up to three people can stay, which in practice means two adults and a child on a rollaway, which the resort lists as available for an additional fee. For two adults on a short stay, this is the sensible room: the facilities that make the resort worth the drive — the pool, the restaurant, the links and the Adventure Desk — are outside the room anyway.

Ask the desk to find a room at Dakota Dunes

The form goes to the room desk of this guide, not to the resort. The desk checks the dates against the hotel's reservations team or a booking partner and answers by email with what is available and what it costs. No card details are asked for here, and sending the form books nothing.

Thank you, the request has arrived. The desk will compare the dates with the hotel's availability and write back by email. Nothing has been booked or charged.
